IS THE MAN HEAD OF EVERY WOMAN?
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God (1 Corinthians 11:3).
The scripture above is sometimes interpreted by some men to mean that a man is the head of every woman. This is emphatically not true because of the following reasons. Firstly, the above scripture specifically states that the head of the woman (not women) is the man- singular for both gender and relates to the home. This scripture correctly interpreted means that, for the purpose of order in the home, a man plays the role as the head. This does not mean that in the home, the husband has to see his wife as a nonentity and assume a tyrant behavior. Any husband who behaves like a tyrant in the home is likely to fail. Secondly, this scripture does not mean that the man is better than the woman in the home.
