DOES GOD WANT ME TO BE SUCCESSFUL?
Does God want me to be successful?:
God created man in his likeness and gave man the power to dominate over nature. This dominion includes being fruitful, multiplying and replenishing the earth and subduing the earth. Indeed man was supposed to be the boss of the earth (Genesis 1: 26-28). Man lost his position of dominion because of sin but was restored back to his position through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After His death, Jesus went to hell, fought the devil and triumphed over him and his cohorts. “And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it” (Colossians 2:15). Jesus emphatically declared that, He has overcome the world for us (John 16:33).
Success is a characteristic of God and man. You have to be a success in this world. Success is the fruit of your contribution to developing the world. Your success contributes to making the world a better place to live in. Success is a blessing to you as an individual, to people around you and the world at large. Don’t agree with people who propound the theory that a Christian has to be poor to be able to go to heaven. It is better to be successful and still go to heaven because that is the will of God for His children and the world.
