The good book reveals the kingdom of God and in this kingdom exist created and ministering spirits called angels. We have two groups of angels- the good angels and the evil angels. The good angels take care of our welfare whilst the bad angels are interested in causing harm to human beings and other living things.
The Greek and Hebrew words translated ‘angel’ means ‘an agent’ or ‘a messenger’. There are several reports on the ministry of angels to the people of God in the Old and New testaments of the bible. Abraham, for instance, had encounters with angels (Genesis 19:1; Genesis 19:15). Our Lord Jesus Christ also spoke of angels and was also ministered to by angels ( Mark 8:38; 13:32; Matthew 13:41; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; John 1:51; Hebrews 12:22).
