YOUR LIFE GOES THE DIRECTION OF YOUR CONFESSION
A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled (Proverbs 18:20).
Have you ever come across a person who complains about almost everything and confesses always in the negative and does nothing to change things for the better? For such a person, this lifestyle would continue for long until there is a conscious change in the spirit! The kind of lifestyle we live and the results we reap in life are based on the state of our spirit. Your life goes the direction of your confession. How do we change our lifestyle and life’s result from the negative to the positive as a child of God?
As children of God, the word of God has to nourish us always. We must be students of the bible- that is what makes our spirits grow in the knowledge of God. As our knowledge increases in the word of God, our physical bodies are affected including what we say with our mouth. Our bodies become aligned to our confessions and work towards getting the results of our confessions. This is a bit different from ‘positive confession’ which assumes that, you have to speak positive with your mouth and hope that your spirit accepts what you are speaking for change to come. Before somebody is born again, bible says that with the heart man believes and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10). What overcomes the challenges of this world is the word of God (John 16:33). God’s word encourages and builds our faith so that we become confident to face the challenges of this world and win over these challenges. The economic systems of the world continuous to grow tough but we still have people becoming successful every now and then. This is because they have discovered something that the ordinary person has not yet discovered. God’s word brings discovery!
For instance, if you have challenges with your studies as a student, you may read 1 Corinthians 2:16 which states that as children of God, we have the mind of Christ. Having the mind of Christ portrays excellence and as you meditate on this scripture, more revelation comes to your heart and you can now boldly say that you are a winner as a student because you have the mind of Christ. As you confess this always, your body aligns appropriately and you will find yourself understanding the materials you study. In the end, you will pass your examination(s).
In summary, always believe God’s word and allow it to nourish you. As you believe it, it wells up like a fountain in your heart and compels you to speak it out. As you declare it out, your physical body is aligned to do what you speak and you will do the right things and get the right results. Consciously ensure that you don’t meddle in complaining because excessive complains tend to ‘poison’ your spirit. Your life goes the direction of your confession.
