SOME SUCCESS PRINCIPLES 2
These are the success principles. Always try to outdo your past. Let today be better than yesterday. Everyday must result in progress towards the big picture you have on your mind. If you are a student, improve upon your grades. If you are a businessman, make it a point to improve on your customer service and business strategies. It is said that, 80 percent of sales generated in a business is the result of 20 percent of customers who referred other clients to your business. If you are a pastor, your congregation should continuously benefit from your leadership. Try as much as possible not to repeat errors you committed in the past- that is not a sign of maturity. Give no room for errors because if this becomes the norm, it may cost you dearly in future.
What you give your attention to dominates your life. If you give attention to ‘irrelevant’ things, your energy goes in that direction at the expense of your dream or big picture. Contemplate on your dream to the extent that it dominates everything you do. Wherever Joseph found himself, he was diligently building himself for his dream. He was faithful in managing the house of Potiphar and prisoners. Being faithful in little, he was also faithful in much. Your dream has to drive your life. “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much” (Luke 16:10).
See challenges to your dream as spring boards to excel. Obstacles are likely to come and scripture is clear on that. Challenges come to test your resilience. Our high priest, Jesus Christ, was tempted when he was on earth to save mankind. When he surmounted the temptations, He emerged victorious. Sometimes, the challenges come because we committed some errors, therefore, when we are able to minimize our errors or avoid them completely, we have few challenges. Joseph said that ‘Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life’ (Genesis 45:5). It is very true that all things work together for our good!
Remember that everything necessary for you to realize your dream is available. The world has all the resources you need to arrive at your dream, therefore, lack does not exist. Think of materials you need, assistance you need from people, finance etc. – all are available. The belief that lack exist will inhibit your progress to realize your dream(s). With this positive mindset, you will always come across all that you need to drive your dream to fruition. Take the first step towards your dream and all you need to get there will follow. Be full of the word of God because it provides direction for us to realize our dreams. These success principles will make you relevant in the world around you.
