More blessing in giving than receiving

giving

I have shewed you all things, how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).

Sometimes the reason why rich people continue to be rich is because they give freely to bless other people and or develop other projects to support the less endowed in society. The same can be said about some rich nations becoming richer because of their donor support to poor countries. Indeed, there is more blessing in giving than receiving.

Giving and receiving is a spiritual law that works for anybody who practices it. Anytime one gives, there is a probability of attracting more blessings back. Giving is a form of service and anybody who serves receives reward. The magnitude of the reward is directly proportional to the magnitude of giving.

Giving may be done in several different forms. It may be financial or non-financial. Non-financial forms of giving include for instance helping someone out with the location of a street in a locality; helping to clarify something to a friend who needs help; encouraging somebody who is dejected or sometimes just spending some time to chat with somebody who needs companionship; identifying the needs of society and providing solutions to those needs; or giving out an item or a gadget that you no longer need to somebody who needs it. Many companies in the world are big today in their asset holdings because of the unique services they provide to society. There is more blessing in giving than receiving.

Giving or service provision is one of the sure ways to advancement in life. No matter your state now, you can start in a small way. With time, you will increase in the level of your giving or service provision and your reward will also increase subsequently.

Let us conclude with Luke 6:38 which states that ‘give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. Giving always comes with reward and the reward is usually greater than the initial giving. Find avenues to freely give and you will be rewarded. Your giving must always be done in love.
