Let your light so shine
What is the meaning of -let your light so shine? In the world of men and women, there is no nonentity! Every individual on this earth is endued with so great talent(s) to bless the world. If you have not identified your talent(s) as at now, it does not mean that you don’t possess one.
You have one or more talents deposited in you. You got to locate it, develop it and bless the world with it. More often than not, the unique qualities we exhibit effortlessly are the building blocks of our talents. Most people ignore these and rather focus on things they burn a lot of energy to do. We are not saying that it is wrong to burn a lot of energy to produce quality stuff. Assuming you have identified your talent(s) and burn a lot of energy to produce quality stuff, you will achieve more relative to the person who only burns energy without having identified his or her talents.
Some people have very good voices for effortless singing. When others are doing all they can to develop their voices to the required standard, these gifted people do not go through those troubles. Some people are gifted with insight into knowledge. They have not read many books but the ideas they deliver appear to be mind blowing. It is our responsibility to locate and develop our talents. It must be a conscious effort and this is one of the meanings of let your light so shine. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). As a child of God, you must be distinguished in whatever you do including preaching of the Gospel to the world. Your talents must surely bless the world. As you bless the world, you will also be rewarded.
