HOW TO KEEP THE BLESSINGS WE RECEIVE FROM GOD
How to keep the blessings we receive from God:
There is no doubt about the fact that God has already blessed his children and the world. It is always the will of God to see His children possessing the fruits of the work Jesus did on the cross. Many of us, if not all, are blessed with precious blessings including finance, seed of the womb, peace, sound mind, health, academic excellence etc., that marvel the mind. However, how to keep the blessings we receive from God involves what?
Firstly, “Hold fast that which you already have” (Revelation 2:25). Refuse to lazy about on what God has given you. For instance, if it is a vehicle God has given you, make sure it is maintained regularly. There are some people who will only visit the mechanic when a fault shows up on their vehicle. Not maintaining your vehicle regularly can land you in an avoidable accident. If you have received healing from God, you always need to be diligent in your faith walk. Always stay glued to the word of God. In the house of God, there should be no waste of resources. We always have to find use for even the least resources. After feeding the multitude, Jesus ensured that the left over was packed and the total quantity documented and probably used again (Matthew 14:20).
Secondly, how to keep the blessings we receive from God involves the following. “Hold fast to your confession” (Hebrews 4:14). Sometimes, we can be doing all the right things but still experience some attacks that seek to take away what God has given us. Continue to stand strong in the word and resist any spiritual forces through our confession. Don’t speak contrary to what the word of God says. If you have received healing through God’s word and the symptoms seem to be coming back, this is the time to resist the symptoms and any spiritual forces behind it by confessing the scriptures (James 4:7). It really works. Keep on renewing your mind with the word (Romans 12:2) and see yourself in the light of God’s word. The symptoms may come back after several years of receiving your healing but that does not mean God has forsaken you. The healing power of God is resident in you and you need to activate it to His glory by trusting it and speaking it forth to your condition. Our confessions emanate from our spirits, and have direct impact on our bodies to maintain change. Sometimes, after confessions, the Holy Spirit leads us to take physical actions that maintain the good results we have.
We need to discover God’s word for ourselves. We may be encouraged by what we hear from very good preachers- this is great but don’t stop there! It is also important to learn the word on our own and discover the truth for ourselves. That is what makes the difference in the life of a believer. “if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23).
