ALWAYS DEMONSTRATE LOVE
And He answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself (Luke 10:27).
The ministry of Jesus Christ on earth had the purpose of moving mankind to another level of glory. It is not surprising that the world, as at now, has advanced in technology and every area of life. Among the several teachings of Jesus, He also taught us to love God first and secondly love our neighbours. The kind of love being referred to here is unconditional love. The absence of love in some peoples’ relationships is costing the world today. Where there is no love, it is not uncommon to see the fruits of bitterness!
In marriage, demonstrate love to your partner, children and in-laws. Most of the time, overlook the frailty of your spouse and rather provide support in such areas. Couples in marriage should see themselves as help-mates and consciously assist each other in everything. This is possible when love forms the bedrock of the marriage. Sometimes there will be hurts and misunderstandings but we have to be open to discuss marital challenges and come to amicable solutions. Sometimes, we are rather hurt by people who are close to us. The old adage says that ‘two heads are better than one’.
At your workplace, demonstrate love to everybody irrespective of what you will get in return. If you don’t faint with time, people who are mean to you in spite of the love you demonstrate will change their attitude towards you and love you in return. In this life, one reaps what he/she sows (Galatians 6:7). Once you sow love, you will get love in return. Living in love, you are able to give off your best in your office even irrespective of the poor condition of service. Your employer may think that you are not smart but giving off your best is a kind of training you are giving yourself. Soon you will be propelled to greater heights of your career. Love and hard work will attract favour towards you.
Demonstrate love to everybody you come across irrespective of who they are. If you love people, you will not envy them and sometimes think that society is a cheat therefore you have to seek justice through inappropriate channels. You may be right in thinking that some elements in society are cheats but it is a wrong perception that society in general is a cheat and unfair. People in society are rewarded for their provision of services to the world. Everybody must discover his/her services and become relevant in this world.
An now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). There is no judgment against love. Anybody who tries to fight love will surely fail and anybody who demonstrates love will surely win.
