WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?
The question of “who is Jesus Christ ?” has come up on several platforms for religious leaders to discuss. This article will answer the above question to help persons who want to know more about Jesus Christ. Indeed, the gospel revolves around Jesus Christ therefore the need to understand who He is.
Jesus was not born of the seed of man although He can be traced from the genealogy of David. The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary for Jesus Christ to be born (Luke 1:35). Natural Science cannot prove this process and this is why many people including some scientist refuse to accept this fact. According to Natural Science, a ‘sperm’ has to fertilize an ‘ovum’ for a baby to be formed.
Jesus Christ is the son of God and savior of the whole world. John 3:16 states that “For God so loved the world, that He sent His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Anybody who receives Jesus as his/her personal savior experiences a spiritual birth and becomes born again.
Who is Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ is the word of God made flesh as revealed in John 1:1. It reads “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God”. Anytime we read the revealed word of God, we see Jesus Christ.
All creation was made by Jesus Christ as stated in John 1:3. “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made”. The different species of animals and plants, planets, soil types, weather types, minerals etc. were made by Jesus Christ. Elements that are not visible to the naked eye were also created by Jesus Christ. These tell us how big our Lord Jesus Christ is.
Jesus is the true light that illuminates every man that comes into the world (John 1:9). The fall of man in the Garden of Eden brought gross darkness into the world. This fall is responsible for the challenges that men are going through in this world. The advent of Jesus on earth brought us new revelations and gave us the power to overcome all the challenges of this world. Jesus defeated all the evil powers of the universe and overruled the natural laws of the universe. He walked on water, changed water to win, healed the sick, cast out devils and ascended to heaven. These are things the natural man cannot do but Jesus demonstrated them. Jesus also said that man (born again) can do greater things than He did and this is a great privilege for us as Christians. When you have Christ in you, darkness can’t work against you. Anywhere a child of God shows up, light automatically shines. Now we know who is Jesus Christ!
